Role Overview

Join the team at Avara Foods in Hereford as a Senior Support Primary Arrival Hanging Operative. This role offers a guaranteed wage of at least £709 weekly, plus shift premiums and overtime opportunities. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be given.

Working Schedule

• 40 hours weekly
• Shift timings: 04:30 to 13:30 Monday to Friday
• Evening shifts: 12:45 to 21:45 Sunday; 13:30 to 22:30 Monday to Thursday (J&F)

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure birds are correctly positioned on the production line adhering strictly to bird welfare guidelines
• Handle lifting tasks involving approx. 2kg per bird repetitively
• Adhere to bird welfare standards rigorously
• Comply fully with health and safety policies, utilizing required protective equipment appropriately
• Follow company and department policies and procedures diligently
• Handle and lift crates averaging 15kg in weight
• Execute tasks and instructions as directed by supervisors or management

Candidate Profile

• Basic proficiency in English and numeracy
• Strong teamwork skills and effective communication
• Attention to detail and flexibility towards varied tasks
• Experience in production or manufacturing environments is an advantage but not mandatory
