Senior Structural Engineer - Bangalore

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, particularly with industrial buildings, and will be responsible for leading design and analysis tasks through all project phases.

Work Schedule

• Working days: Monday to Saturday
• Working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Salary Range: 6.5 to 9 lakhs per annum

Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate degree (M.Tech or ME) in Structural Engineering or related field focusing on industrial buildings
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Male candidates preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Innovate and implement improved working methods to boost project efficiency and results
• Participate in decision-making and ensure smooth project coordination
• Mentor junior engineers to accelerate their development and create a cooperative team environment
• Collaborate with drafting teams to produce detailed structural drawings
• Engage with clients to assess needs, evaluate alternatives independently, and provide cost-effective and lifecycle-conscious engineering solutions
• Design and oversee engineering projects from concept through construction, adhering to professional standards and compliance requirements
• Coordinate design schedules and maintain communication with clients, architects, and other stakeholders
• Attend design review meetings to discuss progress and challenges
• Inspect and assess existing buildings for safety and provide recommendations for enhancement or remediation as necessary
• Troubleshoot design and construction issues, working closely with the project team to meet project goals
• Maintain continuous communication with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Utilize finite element modeling software and structural analysis tools for project tasks
• Stay current with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
• Manage project correspondence and documentation via email and cloud storage tools
• Plan, track, and monitor project work scopes and timelines rigorously
• Perform necessary calculations, analyses, and technical recommendations compliant with project specifications
• Review and confirm the accuracy of drawings, reports, specifications, and studies related to the project
• Build and nurture effective working relationships with all project partners and stakeholders
• Support research and development in construction and civil engineering under guidance as part of ongoing professional growth

Skills Required

• Strong analytical capabilities combined with a proactive self-learning approach
• Expertise in steel, composite, and reinforced concrete structural calculations
• Deep knowledge of the finite element method and dynamic analysis techniques
• Proficient with STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, and MS Excel
• Ability to supervise and review the work of junior colleagues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for interaction with teams, clients, and stakeholders
