Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor based in Bengaluru to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The primary responsibility includes assisting senior quantity surveyors in preparing tender and contract documents such as bills of quantities and cost estimation. The role entails quantitative risk analysis and continuous assessment of project costs and progress alongside project managers.
Working Hours and Location
- Monday to Saturday work schedule
- Working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Office location: 13th Cross, 3rd Main Road, 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560038
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Tender, GFC Bill of Quantities, and comparative documentation
- Timely preparation and analysis of technical data and unit rates
- Developing Bar Bending Schedules for RCC structures in high-rise buildings
- Assisting senior quantity surveyors in preparing purchase orders, commercial offers, and related documents
- Documenting design changes and updating project budgets accordingly
- Maintaining and updating databases for rates, specifications, vendor information, etc.
- Reviewing AutoCAD drawings and producing bills of quantities
- Cost minimization while maintaining quality and standards
- Evaluating maintenance, material costs, and contracts to achieve best value
- Coordination with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors
- Monitoring material inventories and arranging procurement as needed
- Traveling to project sites as necessary
- Preparing contract documents including bills of quantities
- Conducting cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects
- Supporting senior team members in project management and delivery
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors to evaluate proposals and quotations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 2 to 4 years of experience in the construction sector
- Proficiency with construction estimating software is advantageous
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Autodesk skills; familiarity with CostX and BlueBeam is a plus
- Knowledge of project management principles and software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
