Senior Structural Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a reputable and award-winning consulting engineering firm located in Cambridge. This position offers the chance to engage with a diverse range of projects including commercial offices, educational institutions, industrial facilities, high-end residential developments, historic cathedrals, and retail spaces. Candidates will also have the responsibility of guiding junior engineers and technicians.

The client is a successful consulting engineering company with two offices across the UK, known for delivering quality work on various built environment projects.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduation experience as a Structural Engineer, specifically within consulting engineering firms.
• Educational qualification of at least a BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering; an MSc in these disciplines is advantageous.
• Chartered status with IStructE or MICE is preferred, or strong progress towards chartership.
• Proficient in structural engineering software such as Tekla Structural Designer, along with solid experience in Excel and TEDDS usage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM Level 2 standards is considered beneficial.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of UK structural codes and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and contractors.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and technicians is desirable.
• A valid full UK driving license is mandatory.
