Role Overview
We seek an accomplished and commercially focused Senior Store Manager to oversee operations, profitability, and team leadership for a prime retail location. This role demands delivering superior customer service, driving revenue growth, and ensuring operational precision while managing a diverse and sizeable team.
Key Duties
- Drive overall store performance to meet sales, profit, and productivity objectives.
- Create and implement strategies to enhance revenue, market presence, and customer visits.
- Regularly analyze sales trends, category success, and buyer behavior to uncover growth prospects.
- Effectively execute promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
- Control expenses and optimize workforce efficiency to boost profitability.
- Champion exceptional customer service standards and address client concerns proactively.
- Ensure consistent service quality across all areas of the store.
- Manage daily store functions including merchandising, pricing, inventory control, and presentation quality.
- Implement measures to reduce inventory shrinkage and uphold risk management.
- Uphold company policies and operational compliance standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop store management and staff through coaching, recruitment, and performance management.
- Oversee budgeting, labor cost management, and financial reporting to meet profitability goals.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and efficient inventory replenishment.
- Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance while sustaining a safe environment.
- Pursue continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or related discipline.
- At least 8 to 10 years of retail management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven expertise managing large-format retail environments such as supermarkets or hypermarkets.
- Strong commercial insight with a track record of meeting sales and profitability goals.
- Effective leadership capabilities with experience leading sizable teams in dynamic retail settings.
- Skilled in data analysis, problem-solving, and critical decision-making.
- Proficient in retail management software and Microsoft Office.
