Senior Staff Verification Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Staff Verification Engineer based in Cork, Ireland. This role involves leading the full verification process of sophisticated semiconductor products. You will have end-to-end responsibility for verification architecture throughout the product lifecycle, interfacing from initial requirements and integrated circuit design through to hardware emulation and silicon validation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement comprehensive verification architectures tailored for modern power device products.
• Develop and define testbenches and verification intellectual property.
• Establish scalable verification environments utilizing contemporary verification methods.
• Plan and execute thorough system-level verification to assure coverage and achieve verification closure.
• Support verification activities involving hardware, firmware, and software components.
• Enhance continuous integration processes and automate verification workflows while improving methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, testing, product engineering, and operations.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior verification engineers.
• Participate in silicon validation, review automatic test equipment data, and assist with product yield analysis.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years' experience in ASIC and system on chip verification.
• Degree, Master's, or PhD in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• Advanced skills in SystemVerilog, Verilog, and verification methodologies such as UVM or OVM.
• Proficiency with Verilog-A/MS languages.
• Comprehensive understanding of full product verification across hardware, firmware, and software domains.
• Experience with automotive integrated circuit verification and familiarity with the ISO 26262 safety standard.
• Expertise testing embedded processor architectures.
• Knowledge in power conversion and power electronics systems.
• Hands-on experience using Cadence electronic design automation tools.
• Strong capabilities in verification planning, coverage analysis, and testbench design.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and mentor engineering staff.
