Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for our Mobile Growth team within the OEX division. This role goes beyond traditional feature delivery, focusing on shaping strategic initiatives that drive measurable growth metrics for millions of users. The ideal candidate blends a strong foundation in software engineering, hands-on experience in mobile user growth strategies, and the confidence to propose and lead innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end engineering for mobile growth projects, collaborating from initial product and business briefs through to deployment and ongoing iteration.
• Develop and enhance growth-related systems, including funnel analytics, referral mechanisms, user acquisition loops, and experimentation frameworks geared towards mobile users.
• Partner with Product Management, Business Development, and regional market teams to transform commercial objectives into actionable, data-driven engineering solutions.
• Incorporate AI-assisted coding tools within your development workflow to expedite progress, improve code quality, and facilitate cross-technology stack integration.
• Lead technical decisions around growth infrastructure; communicate trade-offs effectively and adapt decisions based on data evidence.
• Guide and mentor team engineers, fostering a culture focused on proactive problem-solving and solution-oriented contributions.

Candidate Profile

• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience with a proven record of delivering scalable production systems.
• Practical experience in growth engineering, including optimizing funnels, establishing experiment frameworks, and developing acquisition or referral systems in consumer-centric products.
• Insight into mobile user behavior, retention drivers, and the unique growth dynamics of mobile platforms compared to web environments.
• Active utilization of AI development tools not only for code generation but also for creating repeatable processes and bridging technology stacks.
• Proactive with distinct viewpoints; comfortable advocating for ideas, providing data-backed counterarguments, and advancing solutions rather than solely raising issues.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Business, and market teams to align priorities and maintain engineering standards.
• Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to think in terms of user funnels, implement relevant instrumentation, and influence decisions through metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mobile app development using iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java), or backend development supporting mobile growth services like growth APIs, attribution systems, or notifications.
• Familiarity with systems programming languages such as Rust, particularly candidates transitioning from mobile tech stacks to backend tools.
• Expertise in mobile attribution tools and platforms including AppsFlyer, Adjust, and SKAdNetwork.
• Operational knowledge of App Store optimization platforms such as App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
• Background in building referral programs, viral growth metrics (k-factor), and anti-fraud systems.
• Experience working with fintech, crypto, or regulated financial products for consumers.
• Exposure to operating in diverse markets including the US, EEA, and APAC regions.
• Hands-on ownership of large-scale A/B testing frameworks.
