About the Role
Join Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in peripherals design verification. Qualcomm is a global technology leader focused on pioneering innovations that enable next-generation experiences and propel digital transformation towards a smarter, connected world. As part of the Qualcomm Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, verifying, and testing electronic systems including Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, mechanical systems, test systems, FPGA, DSP systems, and packaging in order to launch state-of-the-art products. Collaborative teamwork across diverse functions is essential to meet performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead verification efforts at unit and IP levels applying coverage-driven constrained random verification methodologies.
- Develop and maintain testbench components such as stimulus generators, agents, monitors, and checkers.
- Implement test planning and execute tests incorporating C-based reference models within the verification environment.
- Utilize scripting languages like Perl and Python to automate and enhance verification processes.
- Engage with standard industry protocols including PCIe, CXL, USB, and Ethernet during the verification lifecycle.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant hardware engineering experience, OR
- Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience, OR
- PhD with a minimum of 4 years' experience in hardware engineering or related disciplines.
- More than 11 years of experience in unit and IP verification is expected.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SystemVerilog, Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), and test planning.
- Demonstrated ability working with C-based reference models integrated within verification testbenches.
- Proficiency with scripting tools such as Perl and Python.
- Familiarity with standard communication protocols like PCIe, CXL, USB, and Ethernet.
