Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Senior ASIC Design Engineer to join our expanding team in Singapore. The position centers on designing cutting-edge AI chips featuring a groundbreaking architecture. The engineer will collaborate closely with verification, front-end, and software teams to deliver superior digital integrated circuit (IC) products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design micro-architecture and write RTL code for AI computing subsystems.
- Perform analysis of performance, power consumption, and area to ensure high-efficiency compute solutions meet stringent cost and energy constraints.
- Contribute to the RTL design of System-on-Chip (SoC) elements and facilitate integration of IP cores.
- Support overall chip system design efforts, including managing clock and reset frameworks, implementing low-power design techniques, and architecting bus systems.
- Work alongside verification and testing teams to validate designs at both module and system levels.
- Assist front-end engineers in delivering netlists and addressing timing-related issues.
- Provide support for driver development, debugging processes, and maintain thorough technical documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital IC or ASIC design roles.
- Strong foundation in digital circuit theory and proficiency in Verilog HDL coding.
- Knowledge of ASIC design flow and experience with electronic design automation (EDA) tools such as Synopsys and Cadence.
- Understanding of CPU and cache architectures, instruction set architectures (ISA), and compiler fundamentals.
- Familiarity with bus architectures, direct memory access (DMA), and peripheral interface design principles.
- Awareness of techniques for low-power circuit design.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Experience with common bus protocols including AMBA, AXI, AHB, and APB.
- Exposure to synthesis, timing analysis, and design for testability (DFT) concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and capability to prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
