Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and launch robust, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask to serve AI model outputs and power AI-based applications.
• Maintain software engineering excellence by following industry best practices, writing clean, testable, and maintainable Python code.
• Handle database operations within Python apps, including SQL and NoSQL databases, potentially leveraging ORMs for efficiency.
• Build containerized Python applications through Docker, skillfully managing dependencies; familiarity with tools like UV, Poetry, or Ruff is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices is desirable to streamline development workflows.
• Lead AI model deployment into production ecosystems, integrating them as microservices within larger systems, ensuring smooth and stable operations; expertise in model deployment strategies and tools is a plus.
• For projects involving Large Language Models, incorporate LLM features into Python services, managing API communications and designing application-specific prompts.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models into production environments.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience developing Python backend services and APIs, including deployment processes.
• Strong foundation in software design patterns, engineering best practices, and testing approaches.
• Expertise with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Proficient with Docker and effective management of Python virtual environments and package dependencies.
• Experience interacting with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and commitment to producing production-quality code.
