Role Overview
The Senior Solution Specialist will join our Information Management and Productivity Solutions team, focusing on collaboratively developing and implementing Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance collaboration, information management, and workplace productivity. This role involves consulting, designing, building, and supporting comprehensive M365 solutions, with a strong commitment to an inclusive, transparent, and agile project delivery approach.
The position is based in Brisbane, Australia, with flexibility to work onsite and occasional remote flexibility determined by team preferences. Only Australian residents are eligible due to the requirement for Australian Citizenship and Federal Government NV1 Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consultancy efforts to assist organizations in problem-solving, decision-making, and achieving targeted outcomes using a co-design framework.
- Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and workshops tailored for customer engagement.
- Collect and analyze business requirements, producing detailed project documentation such as solution designs, recommendation reports, and system as-built documentation.
- Provide expert technical leadership for Microsoft 365 environments, including information management and Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Design and deploy solutions using SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Manage migration projects moving data from legacy systems to M365 platforms.
- Advise customers on best practices for document control and records management to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Enhance customer skills with coaching, training, demonstrations, and developing training materials.
- Estimate project efforts and support pre-sales activities.
- Adhere to ITIL-aligned best practices and methodologies, including change and release management.
- Oversee governance and provide ongoing support for M365 and Power Platform solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven consulting experience in ICT professional services.
- Deep expertise in designing, building, and deploying M365 solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Demonstrated experience migrating content from legacy platforms into Microsoft 365.
- Strong facilitation and presentation capabilities for leading workshops and engaging clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Ability to convert complicated business challenges into actionable Microsoft 365-based solutions.
- Experience with enterprise information architecture design and implementation.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Competent in creating Power Automate workflows and developing Power Apps applications.
- Thorough understanding of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive collaboration services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for information governance and protection.
- Proficiency in scripting automation and administrative tasks using PowerShell.
- Solid grasp of information management principles.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in custom development using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, C#, HTML, and CSS.
- Creating custom integrations between Microsoft 365 and other business systems.
- Knowledge of AvePoint tools including Opus, Backup, Cloud Governance, Policies and Insights, and Fly.
- Experience migrating and administering M365 environments using ShareGate.
