Job description
Role Overview
This position provides technical leadership during the pre-sales phase of complex ICT projects. The individual will translate client requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and highly available ICT architectures. Acting as the primary technical liaison for CXO-level stakeholders, especially within Government and Financial sectors, the role ensures that proposed solutions align with long-term IT strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and design efforts for new business opportunities, developing architectures that fulfill performance and security criteria.
- Design comprehensive ICT solutions encompassing Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Storage, and Cloud migration to guarantee seamless implementation from concept through to deployment.
- Manage the technical components of tender responses (RFPs and RFIs), ensuring proposals are both competitive and technically sound.
- Engage directly with CIOs and Technical Directors to influence their decision-making and enhance market outreach through consultative sales approaches.
- Utilize in-depth understanding of Government and Financial industry requirements to customize solutions in line with their regulatory and operational frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in ICT infrastructure with a focus on pre-sales or technical advisory capacities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Backup and Disaster Recovery, Storage, and Server technologies.
- Practical expertise with Public Cloud platforms such as OpenStack, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), and essential Datacom components (Routing, Switching, Firewalls).
- Proven background collaborating with Government or Financial sector clients, understanding their procurement processes and technical standards.
- Excellent consultative selling abilities, balancing strategic initiatives with detailed execution.
