As part of the modern AI Trust platform engineering team, you will help redefine the concept of trust at Microsoft and among our customers. This team pioneers AI-driven innovations aimed at enhancing product agility, enabling enterprise-scale automation, supporting intelligent decision-making systems, and ensuring responsible technology use. You will contribute to groundbreaking solutions shaping the future of Windows used by over one billion people worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of software engineers within the Windows and Devices division to design, develop, and deliver engineering and data products that revolutionize the Windows build and shipping process. Collaborate extensively across engineering, product, and program management teams both internally and externally. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and cultivate a culture centered on continuous learning and open teamwork.
Candidate Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline along with robust programming experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or equivalent professional experience.
- Must satisfy Microsoft and relevant government security screening, including the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hiring and biennially afterward.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Extensive industry experience designing and developing software with major programming or scripting languages like C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing outcomes.
- Expertise in software design, debugging, and solving complex problems.
- Strong communication skills capable of conveying technical ideas to varied audiences.
- Experience applying cutting-edge AI technologies in practical software applications.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, set priorities, and drive projects to completion.
- Track record of championing engineering best practices including reliability, testing, and full software lifecycle management.
- Meticulous attention to detail and passion for exceptional design and user experiences.
- Ability to build and sustain effective organizational and interpersonal relationships.
Salary and Benefits
The typical base salary range for this role in Ireland is €77,400 to €130,000 annually. Eligible positions may also receive additional benefits and compensation.
