Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to augment our multi-tenant services team, contributing to one of N-able’s flagship products. In this role, you will design and develop scalable, reliable distributed systems powering Fusion’s technical stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage over eight years of comprehensive software development expertise.
• Architect and implement system features across backend layers, services, and APIs primarily using Go and modern distributed system designs.
• Engage with event-driven systems, microservices, and multi-threaded architecture patterns.
• Implement best practices for distributed data management, including upsert patterns and managing multiple data replicas.
• Collaborate with technologies such as DocumentDB, OpenSearch, SpiceDB, AWS Neptune, and GraphQL.
• Produce clean, maintainable code with small, focused commits, clear commit messages, and impactful pull requests emphasizing system awareness.
• Adopt rigorous testing methodologies, understanding the testing pyramid and applying unit testing, behavior-driven Ginkgo testing, and K6 performance tests.
• Engage in code and design review sessions to provide constructive feedback and technical guidance.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate problems, including debugging within customer environments.
• Assist in backlog estimation and sprint planning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience or strong potential to excel with Fusion’s technology stack including Go, event-driven distributed systems, DocumentDB, OpenSearch, SpiceDB, AWS Neptune, GraphQL, microservices, and multi-threading frameworks.
• Solid grasp of distributed data strategies and upsert pattern implementations.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications on commercial cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS.
• Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving mindset.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development.
• Capability to balance strategic architectural designs alongside immediate project deliverables.
• Additional beneficial experience includes proficiency in C#, Java, ASP.NET, Python, Angular, JavaScript, and SQL.
