Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Threat Detection and Incident Response (TDIR) team in Dublin. This role focuses on architecting and developing cutting-edge case management and investigation tools within our Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform, allowing security analysts to detect and respond to threats faster and more efficiently at petabyte scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering standards and architectural improvements ensuring systems are high-quality, performant, and reliable for present and future scale.
• Design and develop Go-based microservices supporting threat detection, incident response workflows, and case management, along with RESTful APIs for customer use.
• Take full technical ownership of projects from inception to delivery, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through collaborative coding practices and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to AI-driven features including large language model integration and intelligent analyst tooling.
• Participate in on-call rotations, improving system reliability and reducing operational workload.
• Operate autonomously with trusted decision-making authority.

Candidate Profile

• A collaborative individual who supports and uplifts their team with a unifying mindset.
• Minimum of 8 years in professional software engineering, with at least 5 years designing and operating large-scale distributed or cloud-native systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed architecture, scalability, RESTful design principles, and multithreading.
• Proficient in developing resilient, low-latency services using languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred).
• Effective communicator with a strong sense of ownership and customer orientation.
• Proven track record translating complex business needs into reliable technical solutions delivered on schedule.
• Experience applying AI technologies to enhance workflow automation, improve decision-making, and drive business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active development of Go-based microservices for high-throughput architectures.
• Background in cybersecurity, security information and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), or related fields.
• Practical experience with large language model integrations, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and agentic AI frameworks.
