About the Role
We are recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of a Haystack partner, based in the Berlin Metropolitan Area. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality, maintainable software, applications, APIs, and related workflows. You'll be an active participant in technical architecture discussions and design sessions, collaborating closely within an agile, cross-functional team through regular scrum ceremonies. Your responsibilities also include analyzing and implementing business requirements while ensuring thorough documentation of systems and components.
A key part of the position is to drive improvements by adopting industry best practices and standards, enhancing the codebase and overall architecture, and contributing positively to the engineering culture by providing feedback and championing standards.
Responsibilities
- Create, test, and deploy robust and maintainable software solutions, APIs, and workflows.
- Engage in and communicate technical architecture designs actively.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies within an agile team environment.
- Translate business needs into technical implementations while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Introduce and uphold industry standards and best practices to refine code quality and software architecture.
- Contribute to fostering a constructive engineering culture through adoption and feedback of standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical experience with C# and the .NET framework.
- Solid background in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Proficient understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases (preferably SQL Server) and Object-Relational Mapping tools such as Entity Framework.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development, with Azure experience considered advantageous.
