Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the self-service cloud growth team, focusing primarily on enhancing onboarding processes for human users and agents within Elastic Cloud. Their work will be instrumental in driving the platform's expansion by improving trial user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack solutions involving backend and frontend components to optimize product onboarding and trial workflows.
• Design and deploy scalable new features and APIs aligned with product goals.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to shape and refine feature specifications.
• Create interactive agent interfaces for onboarding and trial journeys.
• Work alongside Elastic solution teams to integrate cloud and Kibana onboarding seamlessly.
• Devise data evolution strategies to handle schema modifications without causing disruptions.

Candidate Profile

• Expertise in React and JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Proficiency with Node.js frameworks such as Hapi and Next.js for backend development.
• Strong front-end skills including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniques.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Familiarity with state management tools like NgRx is advantageous.
• Comfortable with Git and collaborative code management tools.
• Experience deploying and managing production software environments.
• Capability to independently plan, design, implement, and guide projects.
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with a detail-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in teams.
• Adaptability to fast-moving work environments.
• A passion for keeping current with industry trends and best development practices.

Compensation

The position offers a fixed base salary without variable components. Salaries are determined by market benchmarks, internal equity, role complexity, and individual expertise. The anticipated salary range is between €87,300 and €138,100 EUR annually.
