Senior Software Engineer

Overview

BettingJobs, a leading international company in online gaming, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their backend engineering team based in Toronto. This role involves developing scalable backend services and ensuring system reliability within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain efficient backend services using .NET technologies.
• Create and manage real-time data stream pipelines and system integrations.
• Enhance existing legacy systems to maintain stability while supporting backward compatibility.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues in production environments promptly.
• Lead deployment activities and oversee continuous integration and delivery workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in .NET software development.
• Strong expertise in building and managing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with message queue technologies such as RabbitMQ and Kafka, as well as communication protocols including REST APIs, gRPC, and WebSockets.
• Experience with Redis caching, Kubernetes container orchestration, and cloud computing platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient in using monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Grafana.
• Ability to handle intricate business logic and demonstrate significant ownership over projects.
• Educational background in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Additional Advantages

• Background in financial or trading systems is a plus.
• Experience in test automation, GitOps, continuous deployment tools, or actor model frameworks is desirable.
