Role Overview

We are actively looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer skilled in shipping impactful features across our technology stack. This role requires presence onsite in Abu Dhabi at least three days a week.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver substantial end-to-end features.
• Take responsibility for complex technical decisions, document them thoroughly, and confidently defend your choices.
• Coordinate with client development teams and stakeholders to align on integration designs, prioritization, and delivery timelines.
• Champion high-quality code standards and conduct comprehensive code reviews across the entire team.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through paired programming, design evaluations, and constructive feedback.
• Engage actively in incident management including response and retrospective analysis.
• Contribute to wider platform initiatives beyond individual projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience developing production systems using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Practical software engineering background with TypeScript/Node.js in live environments.
• Experience with React.js or an enthusiastic willingness and capability to master it rapidly.
• Strong grasp of data structures, concurrent computing, and handling failures in distributed systems.
• Robust SQL skills including knowledge of indexing and evaluating query execution plans.
• Experience maintaining services in production with capabilities in logging, monitoring, alerting, and participating in on-call rotations.
• Confident in code review processes and able to constructively challenge peers, including senior engineers.
• Skilled in effectively utilizing AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, discerning when to trust generated code and when to validate it.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at interacting across departments and translating technical concepts into business language.
• Preferred academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.

Additional Desired Experience

• Background in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with both TypeScript/Node.js and React.js in production environments.
• Exposure to working closely with partners or clients on delivery and integration projects.
