Senior Software Engineer - Java & Golang

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer proficient in Java and Golang to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and deploying APIs and microservices, particularly using frameworks like Spring Boot. The position requires the ability to decode and handle high-performance network protocols and work with API gateways such as WSO2 or NGINX.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deploy API/Microservices using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Decode and process complex network protocols efficiently.
• Work with API gateways including WSO2 or NGINX to manage and secure APIs.
• Collaborate with team members in a dynamic, tight-knit environment, managing multiple projects effectively.
• Utilize container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in deployment workflows.
• Employ messaging systems like Kafka and ActiveMQ in application design and integration.
• Maintain and interact with relational and non-relational databases including MySQL, MongoDB, and Clickhouse.
• Use DevOps tools such as Bamboo, Jira, BitBucket/GitLab, SonarQube, and Veracode for building, tracking, code review, and security analysis.

Candidate Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Java is mandatory.
• Proficiency with Golang is highly desirable.
• Experience with Spring Boot framework for microservices development.
• Familiarity with API gateways like WSO2 or NGINX is a plus.
• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Clickhouse.
• Exposure to messaging platforms including Kafka and ActiveMQ.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Bamboo, Jira, BitBucket/GitLab, SonarQube, and Veracode.
• Australian Citizenship and possession of NV1 or higher Government Security Clearance are essential.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a collaborative setting.
