Role Overview

This is a fully remote, permanent senior engineering position for candidates based in Ireland. As a Senior Golang Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for designing and developing applications using Golang, as well as collaborating with clients and teams to deliver scalable, high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application components ensuring high technical standards within project teams.
• Contribute to definition and implementation of structured software development practices, especially in source control, build, and deployment processes.
• Create and implement data storage and management solutions.
• Optimize application performance to achieve maximum speed and scalability.
• Incorporate user and client feedback to build effective solutions.
• Analyze client business requirements to inform technical design.
• Support technical leadership in project execution and timely delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with client teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum six years of professional experience as a software engineer with a proven track record at a senior level.
• Strong practical experience developing software in an agile environment.
• Proven ability to deliver real-world software solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge and experience with Golang programming language.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficiency with Git and other version control systems.
• Experience with testing methodologies and tools across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Familiarity with database technologies and cloud computing environments.
• Knowledge and practice of automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Comfortable with collaborative software development practices including code reviews and pull requests.
• Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in English.
