Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Global Payroll team, you will be instrumental in enhancing a comprehensive payroll platform servicing hundreds of thousands of employees. This role offers the chance to architect new product features from inception and refactor critical system components to improve scalability. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and product leadership to define and execute the team's vision, strategy, and roadmap while balancing platform and product requirements.
- Develop scalable, maintainable solutions with high reliability to support business growth.
- Mentor and guide other engineers to promote their professional development.
- Enhance engineering quality by implementing and operating tools, monitoring systems, and processes throughout the company.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production and customer issues.
Qualifications
- Over 6 years of experience as a professional software engineer.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver projects from product specification through successful release.
- Strong understanding of computer science principles and modern design patterns, enabling resolution of complex technical challenges and innovation.
- Experience leading full project lifecycles, turning complex ideas into tangible outcomes.
- Excellent product intuition focused on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Exceptional communication skills for clarifying technical concepts and collaborating across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, and React is advantageous.
