About Wynn Al Marjan Island
Slated to open in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island is being developed as a luxurious coastal resort in the United Arab Emirates. Situated less than 50 miles from Dubai International Airport, the establishment will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues, a theater, nightclub, and a five-star spa on an island curving into the Arabian Gulf.
Role Summary
The Senior Software Engineer will join the Applications & Digital Products division, charged with advancing hospitality through software innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced services to revolutionize the hospitality sector in the UAE.
- Produce clean, maintainable code incorporating strong unit and integration tests; engage in code reviews and design discussions.
- Lead reviews emphasizing system reliability, performance under load, cost optimization, and security.
- Enhance system observability by developing metrics, dashboards, alerts, and proactive monitoring systems.
- Champion engineering best practices and automation to boost solution quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage incidents, including prioritization, escalation, root cause diagnosis, and resolution of critical system faults.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams and technology partners across regional and global settings, fostering clear and diplomatic communication.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years experience in software engineering using languages like C#, Java, Go, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Terraform, Dynatrace, and Kafka technologies.
- Proficient in front-end frameworks and languages such as React, TypeScript, Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Deep knowledge of distributed architectures including microservices, event-driven models, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud service platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
- Strong expertise in database technologies including PostgreSQL, Redis, and NoSQL pathways.
- Experience in automated end-to-end testing to ensure high quality assurance.
- Adept at working autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
