Senior Software Developer (Java & Kotlin)

About the Project

Our client, a leading investment bank in Southeast Asia, is developing a comprehensive platform for processing structured products, focusing primarily on Equity derivatives. The goal is to create a robust system addressing current challenges while maintaining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently demonstrating advanced coding proficiency along with strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Lead implementation and experimental initiatives for new applications and solutions, promoting clean coding and test-driven development practices.
• Develop end-to-end high availability REST APIs, streaming, and batch applications using Java and the Spring framework ecosystem (including Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch), along with technologies like Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Translate system requirements into detailed software design artifacts and coordinate tasks across internal and external technical teams.
• Review existing system designs and recommend improvements to enhance scalability, robustness, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate actively in code reviews to uphold quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years experience working with Java and Kotlin.
• In-depth knowledge of Equity derivatives.
• Experience designing multi-tiered, distributed applications and service architectures.
• Proven ability in constructing RESTful web services with a strong understanding of REST architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Gradle and Maven.
• Working knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins.
• Experience using source control systems including Bitbucket and GitHub.
• Effective management of development and release cycles.
