Project Overview

Our client, a leading investment bank in Southeast Asia, is developing an end-to-end platform focused on Structured products, primarily Equity derivatives. The goal is to create a resilient platform that resolves current challenges without sacrificing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an individual contributor showcasing proficient software coding abilities, a deep understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
• Lead the implementation and experimentation of new applications and solution initiatives, with a strong preference for clean code practices and test-driven development (TDD).
• Manage complete development lifecycle of scalable REST APIs, streaming, and batch applications employing Java and the Spring framework (including Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch), alongside Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with Java and Kotlin.
• In-depth knowledge of Equity derivatives.
• Experience in designing multi-tiered and distributed applications with service-oriented architectures.
• Competent in building RESTful web services and comprehensive understanding of REST principles.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Proficient with build tools such as Gradle and Maven.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
• Source code management using Bit Bucket or GitHub.
• Ability to execute end-to-end development and release phases effectively.
• Expertise in translating system requirements into detailed software design artifacts.
• Capability to coordinate tasks and interface with both internal and external technical teams.
• Perform design reviews of existing applications and recommend improvements to enhance robustness, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate actively in code review processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
