Role Description

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and releasing value-driven software. The role demands a strong focus on security, performance, simplicity, usability, and maintainability, as well as mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within agile frameworks by participating in and sometimes leading sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and other team engagements.
• Advocate and implement design patterns, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers.
• Engage with product teams and stakeholders to refine requirements and contribute to effort estimation and planning.
• Design and document high-level software architectures for enterprise-scale applications, aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
• Develop readable, maintainable, and robust code following secure coding standards and SDLC protocols.
• Perform thorough code reviews and lead team development activities.
• Support quality assurance by validating issues, fixing defects, and developing integration points for testing.
• Assist in release planning, deployment activities, and post-release support including root cause analysis and monitoring.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong expertise in Microservices architecture including bounded contexts and loose coupling.
• Proficiency in API-first design, contract management, event-driven design, asynchronous messaging, eventual consistency, idempotency, and message replay handling.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core Web API and developing web applications.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Blob Storage, API Gateway/Azure API Management, Entra for authentication, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and caching mechanisms.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, GitFlow, object-oriented programming, Kanban workflow, secure coding, and agile methodologies.
