We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead infrastructure development for our rapidly expanding APAC operations in India and the Philippines. This role involves comprehensive ownership of cloud infrastructure in APAC, managing regional programs, and providing senior technical guidance.

This position offers a unique chance to architect and influence the infrastructure of a large-scale, regulated fintech platform. The role is fully remote with the expectation of biannual international travel for in-person team gatherings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end cloud infrastructure architecture covering compute, networking, storage, identity, containerization, and hosting for APAC.
• Manage cross-region connectivity including VPN tunnels, partner IP allow-lists, CDN edge domains, certificate management, DNS, and TLS security.
• Lead migration projects and enhance PCI-DSS compliance, focusing on securing sensitive data and hardening processes.
• Coordinate incident response during APAC hours, including conducting root cause analysis, blameless post-mortems, and implementing durable solutions.
• Drive ongoing improvements in system reliability, deployment confidence, alerting mechanisms, and optimize Azure cloud expenditures.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams on PCI-DSS scope, vulnerability scanning, access controls, and secret management.
• Establish regional technical standards via documentation, runbooks, and cooperative work with US-based platform engineers.
• Utilize AI-enabled coding, observability, and infrastructure-as-code tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Site Reliability Engineer overseeing mission-critical systems.
• Strong expertise in managing public cloud platforms, particularly Azure and experience with AWS or GCP.
• Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, building reusable modules rather than limited scripts.
• Advanced networking skills including site-to-site VPNs, virtual network design and peering, DNS, TLS certificate management, firewall, and IP allow-list configuration.
• Demonstrated leadership during incident management and response processes.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and command-line Azure tools.
• Experience across the entire DevOps lifecycle and pipelines.
• Comfortable leveraging AI-based tools to enhance workflow and reduce toil.
