About the Role
We are actively seeking a driven and highly responsible Lead Full-Stack Engineer experienced in FinTech to spearhead the technical direction of our financial data platform. This role involves overseeing the scalability and maintenance of a financial reporting system and crafting robust web-based Excel add-ins to aid audit and tax professionals in their workflows. As the core technical lead, you will be accountable for architectural decisions, resolving complex issues hands-on, and mentoring junior developers to uphold code standards and foster professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and define the complete technical strategy for a stack leveraging Angular and OfficeJS on the frontend, with Flask powering the backend.
- Manage deployment of web applications to company servers, ensuring production stability and handling incident responses promptly.
- Develop and sustain advanced Excel Add-ins utilizing Office.js that integrate seamlessly with financial workflows.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers through regular code reviews and cultivate a high standard of technical excellence within the team.
- Proactively identify technical challenges and implement solutions independently without waiting for oversight.
Technical Requirements
- Frontend: Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, and RxJS.
- Backend: Skilled in Python, Flask, Pandas, RESTful API development, and SQL Server.
- DevOps/Tools: Experience with Git, Apache web server, and deploying backend and frontend applications using Apache or NGINX.
- Office Ecosystem: Proficiency with Office.js and Excel Add-in development is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications & Soft Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-stack software development, ideally in the FinTech sector.
- Demonstrated ownership spirit with a proven ability to independently navigate and solve complex technical challenges.
- Leadership experience in mentoring junior team members and making critical architectural decisions.
- Strong communication skills capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for various stakeholders and junior colleagues.
