Senior Site Engineer (Mechanical)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer specializing in mechanical works to manage and oversee the execution of mechanical and metallic piping operations for a Desalination/Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant project located in Doha, Qatar. This role encompasses supervision of site workforce, materials coordination, and daily construction activities, ensuring strict adherence to approved designs, project specifications, and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within set timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical and metallic piping erection on site for the desalination/RO plant project.
• Supervise mechanical equipment installation and conduct testing to verify operational integrity.
• Coordinate daily activities of site personnel and material handling to align with project schedules.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, QA/QC protocols, and HSE regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the Site Manager, main contractor, client representatives, and other project teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of relevant construction experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, particularly within Oil & Gas and Desalination/RO projects.
• Demonstrated strong expertise in metallic piping erection, mechanical equipment installation, and testing, with thorough understanding of project specifications, quality assurance/control, and HSE standards.
