Senior Site Engineer

Overview

Mauryansh Construction Co. invites applications for the position of Senior Site Engineer based in Surat, Gujarat. This role involves overseeing comprehensive civil construction operations for diverse projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all civil construction activities including Factory Buildings, Industrial Buildings, RCC structures, foundations, PEB civil works, flooring, roads, drainage systems, and compound walls as per approved plans.
• Monitor daily site progress ensuring accurate compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Engage with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, PMC, and client representatives to resolve site-related issues collaboratively.
• Interpret and comprehend civil, structural, architectural, and foundation drawings, including RCC, foundation, column, beam, slab, excavation, and structural details.
• Analyze Bar Bending Schedules to validate reinforcement quantities, sizes, spacing, cutting lengths, and placements, coordinating with design and consultant teams for clarifications and updates.
• Maintain comprehensive drawing records; ensure use of approved, revised drawings onsite.
• Calculate and cross-verify quantities for excavation, PCC/RCC, reinforcement steel, shuttering, masonry, plaster, flooring, concrete roads, drainage, structural, and foundation works.
• Prepare daily and weekly quantity and measurement reports; verify subcontractor quantities prior to billing submissions.
• Plan and distribute manpower efficiently, supervise labor teams to meet productivity targets, and address issues of underperformance promptly.
• Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly work plans aligned with the project schedule and bar charts, ensuring milestones are met or exceeded.
• Forecast material needs for upcoming tasks, coordinate with procurement and stores for timely supply, and monitor material consumption to minimize wastage.
• Implement rigorous quality control measures, inspect reinforcement, shuttering, leveling, and alignment before concrete pours; coordinate quality testing including cube tests.
• Document daily progress through reports encompassing manpower, machinery, materials, work progress, concrete, steel usage, labor productivity, and site issues; report critical updates to project management.
• Support commercial functions by assisting with preparation and verification of RA bills, measurement sheets, quantity statements; track deviations, extra work, and client approvals diligently.
• Coordinate team efforts among engineers, supervisors, safety, store, purchase, and accounts; nurture discipline and seamless collaboration at the site.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervisors, fostering an efficient work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient knowledge in factory and industrial building construction methodologies.
• Strong expertise in RCC and civil construction practices.
• Competency in BBS interpretation and reinforcement detailing.
• Excellent capability in quantity estimation and calculation.
• Ability to independently read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
• Skilled in labor and manpower management to optimize productivity.
• Experience with project scheduling tools and bar charts for effective target planning.
• Understanding of BOQ, billing procedures, and site measurement standards.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD software.
• Effective communication and coordination skills necessary for team and client interaction.
• Decisive and capable of handling site operations autonomously.

Preferred Experience

• Prior involvement in projects related to factory or industrial buildings, manufacturing plants, RCC structures, PEB building civil works, foundations, industrial flooring and roads.
• Experience with drainage systems, underground tanks, compound walls, and heavy or industrial civil constructions is advantageous.
