We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Service Engineer within the Grid Integration business, reporting directly to the Country Operations Manager. This role requires travel to various customer sites across Ireland and offers a supportive work environment focused on ownership of your career progression. Note: visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support, and conduct repair and maintenance activities for customers and internal teams.
• Comply with the Hitachi Energy Electrical Safety Management System standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel by minimizing risks.
• Adhere strictly to the company's code of conduct promoting ethical behavior.
• Timely completion of Maintenance Management System updates, customer fault reports, and commissioning paperwork.
• Manage safety, electrical, and environmental risks linked to service operations.
• Occasionally travel outside Ireland for customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning assignments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Certified Electrician specializing in High Voltage Power Systems.
• Familiarity with the electrical industry, especially in high voltage sectors.
• Skills in relay programming and fault diagnosis related to control and protection systems.
• Hands-on experience with equipment in the 38kV to 400kV range.
• Background in power sector service and maintenance is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Hitachi Energy’s product and service portfolio is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Self-driven with the ability to excel in a performance-focused setting.
