WSP is a respected consultancy firm specializing in construction site supervision, particularly for road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects. We are seeking a Senior Road Engineer to join our Riyadh team, offering at least 15 years of road engineering experience and expertise in managing site supervision projects within construction consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete planning, design, and development of road infrastructure projects, including alignment, geometric and pavement designs, and drainage, ensuring compliance with client expectations, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Perform feasibility studies, traffic impact and risk assessments to guide and optimize project planning and execution.
• Supervise construction phases by conducting routine site inspections to monitor progress, quality standards, and adherence to engineering and contractual specifications.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance and control procedures to guarantee safe and efficient construction aligned with approved plans.
• Design and execute traffic management and safety strategies that minimize disruptions and protect workers, users, and the public during construction.
• Oversee traffic flow, signage, and temporary detours, promptly addressing any operational issues to maintain safe road operations.
• Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and local communities to understand their requirements and feedback concerning road projects.
• Ensure transparent and effective communication across the project team and with stakeholders through regular updates, reporting, and presentations.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation efficiently, implementing risk mitigation to achieve timely and on-budget project delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to meet project quality and client satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree is advantageous.
• At least 15 years of experience in road engineering focused on site supervision within construction consultancy.
• Professional engineering certification or equivalent preferred.
• Deep expertise in road design, construction, and maintenance with thorough knowledge of related codes and standards.
• Experienced with CAD software and specialized road engineering analysis tools.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, capable of directing diverse teams and managing budgets and schedules effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
• Demonstrated success in delivering road infrastructure projects emphasizing safety, quality, and innovation.
• Proficient in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
