Job description
Job Overview
The Hydraulics Inspector is responsible for overseeing and examining hydraulic works on infrastructure projects to guarantee adherence to authorized designs, technical criteria, standards, and regional regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect hydraulic components including systems for water supply, sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and pumping installations.
- Verify that all tasks comply strictly with approved blueprints, method statements, and specification requirements.
- Perform site assessments, oversee testing and commissioning activities, and validate material approvals.
- Supervise contractors’ work, identifying and documenting any instances of non-compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, project consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation such as inspection logs, daily progress reports, and lists of defects or pending items.
- Ensure all activities meet Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards along with local statutory mandates.
- Assist with project handover processes through verification of as-built drawings and final inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Between 5 and 10 years of practical experience in hydraulic infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewerage, and stormwater management systems.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian standards and regulatory requirements including MOMRA and NWC guidelines.
- Experience collaborating with consultants or Project Management Consultants (PMC) is an advantage.
- Strong skills in reporting and effective communication.
- Having a transferable Iqama is preferred.
