Role Overview
As a Senior Road Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design verification, and supervision of road construction activities. Ensuring compliance with project specifications, design standards, and timelines is fundamental to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Approve design drawings, material submissions, and shop drawings related to road works.
- Supervise construction activities to verify compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and track site progress.
- Validate quantities and enforce quality control across all roadwork operations.
- Evaluate method statements to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing progress reports, conducting risk assessments, and performing technical evaluations.
- Ensure all activities align with standards established by relevant authorities such as MOT and RCRC.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- At least 15 years of experience in significant road and highway projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of both international (e.g., AASHTO) and local road design standards.
- Prior experience in Project Management Consultancy or supervision roles is advantageous.
