About the Role
FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join their Digital & Data team in Wellington, New Zealand. This role is pivotal in delivering dependable, high-quality technology solutions that support both business objectives and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete testing lifecycle including strategy development, planning, and execution, utilizing risk-based, exploratory, and business acceptance testing methods.
- Ensure quality results by proactively detecting, preventing, and monitoring defects throughout the development process.
- Collaborate effectively within a small agile, cross-functional product team, contributing to business analysis and design work as required.
- Influence product requirements, design, and delivery decisions early to enhance overall product quality.
- Champion continuous improvements in QA methodologies and team practices.
- Mentor team members and support the enhancement of QA capabilities across the team.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive QA experience including formulating and executing test strategies.
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and the entire software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with current QA tools, techniques, and test frameworks, complemented by some business analysis experience.
- Highly analytical with abilities in risk assessment and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders.
- A dedication to ongoing improvement and a strong passion for maintaining quality.
- Prior exposure to the insurance industry and/or Guidewire Policy Centre is advantageous but not mandatory.
