About the Role
FMG is seeking a Senior Claims Adviser to join our Claims Team in Christchurch on a fixed-term contract until January 2028. This senior position involves leading by example, providing mentorship and guidance to team members while ensuring outstanding claims service delivery and process improvements that enhance service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert technical knowledge and mentor claims team members to support team goals.
- Ensure claims processes comply strictly with FMG Claims Best Practices and the Fair Insurance Code.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by managing expectations and securing mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Innovate by developing well-informed solutions and making sound decisions.
- Maintain professional and constructive relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring advanced customer service skills and a strong commitment to meeting the needs of internal and external customers alike. You will take full ownership of your decisions, demonstrate accountability, and adapt readily to change. Success in this role also requires teamwork, collaboration, and critical analysis capabilities to identify key issues and develop creative solutions.
Additional Information
This role requires availability for rotating Saturday shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and rotating shifts from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM every six weeks.
