About the Role and Team

The Commercial department is a crucial function that ensures the financial health and contractual compliance of projects. This team manages cost control, procurement, valuations, contract administration, and project planning. Close collaboration with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients helps monitor budgets, reduce risks, and optimize value throughout the duration of projects. Their expertise is vital for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and per contractual obligations, thus fostering client satisfaction and business profitability.

As a result of expanding operations, Alternative Heat Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Planner to lead and govern the creation, oversight, and assurance of integrated project schedules specifically within the data center unit. This key role ensures the production of precise, contract-adherent, and performance-oriented project plans that provide transparency regarding progress, risks, and results to optimize project outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead planning activities across multiple projects, establishing a central point of contact for all project schedules with consistent adherence to planning standards and processes.
  • Create, sustain, and manage integrated programs that span all phases of projects, aligning plans with scope, contractual obligations, and client requirements.
  • Track program performance by analyzing critical paths, spotting risks and delays, and applying mitigation and recovery strategies to achieve delivery goals.
  • Generate comprehensive programme reports, dashboards, and insights to inform senior management of progress and issues.
  • Support activities related to delay analysis and managing changes efficiently.
  • Work closely with estimating, commercial, operational, site, subcontractor teams, and clients to coordinate sequencing, share programme status, and integrate planning efforts with cost, risk, and performance data.

  • Location: Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland
  • Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Reporting To: Planning Lead
  • Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
