Senior Project Manager/Modeler - Construction Modeling

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leveraging broad and deep expertise in detailing principles and project management within construction modeling. This leadership role encompasses directing projects from initiation through completion by managing teams, defining goals, and overseeing execution aligned with clients' requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage clients to assess project needs and define clear scopes and objectives.
• Lead kick-off meetings to present design approaches and gather scheduling and budgeting input.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and budgets, including allocation of personnel and resources.
• Coordinate project deliverables across clients, internal staff, and external partners.
• Organize and facilitate project-related meetings domestically and externally.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and engineering consultants to form effective engineering solutions.
• Oversee and direct the generation of construction documentation with cross-functional teams ensuring adherence to standards.
• Advise and support other modelers on technical and regulatory challenges and software use.
• Monitor progress of design and assessment tasks against budget and timeline expectations.
• Perform quality control reviews on work outputs to ensure high standards.
• Address and resolve diverse project challenges including technical, budgetary, scheduling, and billing concerns.
• Supervise project personnel, providing leadership and quality oversight.
• Track project profitability using financial reports and reviews.
• Implement standard quality assurance procedures such as design and documentation reviews.
• Manage project closeout activities including financial reconciliation, archiving, and postproject evaluations.
• Maintain project tracking systems such as work plans, completion curves, backlog monitoring, and accounts receivable.
• Promote exceptional client interactions by fostering collaborative relationships with all stakeholders adhering to company values.
• Participate actively in industry events and community outreach to enhance company reputation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years’ professional experience with over 10 years specifically in Tekla steel detailing for complex construction projects.
• Outstanding written and oral communication capabilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills to engage and guide teams toward achieving project goals.
• Demonstrated career progression encompassing diverse building designs and project scopes.
