About the Role

Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a national construction company that is establishing its inaugural project team in South Australia. The company is preparing to undertake a significant $300 million construction project in the northern suburbs and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead this major initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and oversee detailed project plans, managing scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other involved parties to ensure project alignment.
• Guarantee adherence to safety protocols and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
• Track the advancement of the project, making necessary adjustments to keep on schedule.
• Compile and deliver comprehensive project updates to senior leadership regularly.
• Address and resolve conflicts or challenges that emerge during the project lifecycle.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships to satisfy their requirements and exceed expectations.
• Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience managing projects within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional leadership and team coordination capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
• Skilled in the use of project management platforms and software tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction operations, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and make strategic decisions confidently.
