Job Summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a government agency project based in Wellington, New Zealand. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring strict adherence to defined scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams to establish clear objectives and deliverables aligned with organizational goals.
• Track project progression, proactively identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation or resolution strategies.
• Assist in allocating resources efficiently and monitor budget expenditures.
• Generate comprehensive status reports and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continual improvement and application of project management best practices within the company.
• Cultivate teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working environment among project team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of seven years’ experience in the industry, including at least three years in a comparable project management role.
• Proven expertise in managing both projects and programs successfully.
• Familiarity with industry-standard project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• A proactive commitment to continuous learning to stay current with evolving industry trends and technologies.
• Practical experience working within Agile frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related discipline is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are desirable additions.
