Role Overview

This senior project management position, based in Sydney, NSW, is a full-time onsite role responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of fire protection projects. Core duties involve planning, scheduling, and supervising installations of fire suppression systems across numerous locations. The role demands careful budget and timeline oversight, compliance enforcement relating to codes and client specifications, as well as leadership of project teams. Coordination with contractors, suppliers, and clients is essential, as is problem resolution to maintain project progression and scope adherence. Additionally, the role entails continuous enhancement of project workflows, documentation procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive delivery and execution of fire protection projects from start to finish.
• Organize design and installation phases of wet and dry fire systems across multiple sites.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Enforce compliance with applicable fire safety codes, standards, and client requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in project management within construction or fire protection sectors.

• Prior involvement in inspection duties related to fire systems installation, commissioning, and compliance verification.
• Competence in logistics management to effectively organize resources, deliveries, and on-site activities for multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, risk management emphasizing safety and regulatory adherence.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation abilities, coupled with leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• A relevant tertiary qualification such as engineering, construction management, or similar; certifications in fire protection or building services are advantageous.
