Role Overview

The Senior Production Assembler plays a critical role in executing complex mechanical assembly tasks on the Final Assembly Line (FAL) pertaining to propulsion systems, aerospace assemblies, and their sub-systems. This role ensures high-quality production workflows, strict compliance with engineering schematics and manufacturing procedures, and offers expert technical mentorship to less-experienced assemblers during assembly, integration, and testing stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intricate mechanical assembly and integration tasks for engines, propulsion units, and aerospace parts.
• Accurately interpret engineering blueprints, assembly instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related technical documents.
• Build precision components such as mechanical parts, structural elements, piping, brackets, and subassemblies.
• Support the achievement of Final Assembly Line production goals and delivery deadlines.
• Identify assembly challenges and promptly report technical issues to supervisors or manufacturing engineers.
• Aid in troubleshooting non-conformance during assembly and assist in rework efforts.
• Safely operate a range of assembly tools and equipment including torque wrenches, pneumatic devices, measuring instruments, and lifting machinery.
• Maintain and ensure timely calibration of all tooling and equipment utilized.
• Adhere strictly to approved work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols.
• Document production and assembly activities with precision and support inspection and verification processes.
• Provide mentorship and hands-on assistance to junior assemblers and technicians.
• Collaborate with supervisors to organize and guide daily assembly operations efficiently.
• Encourage a culture of teamwork, discipline, and dedication to quality within the Final Assembly Line workforce.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Aerospace Manufacturing.
• Have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant assembly experience in sectors such as aerospace, aviation, defense, automotive, or heavy industry manufacturing.
• Experience with propulsion systems, engines, rotating machinery, or precision assemblies is strongly favored.
• Experience working within Final Assembly Line environments is preferred.
