Production Supervisor

Overview

This role involves detailed planning and supervision of production activities in a food processing environment, primarily handling fresh chilled fish, meat, and poultry. The supervisor oversees shift-wise production schedules, ensuring the workflow is efficient and targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans per shift to achieve daily and monthly goals.
• Monitor and manage entire shop floor operations to ensure seamless production flow and minimal downtime.
• Maintain active presence on the production floor, working closely with production teams during processing.
• Ensure all products comply with approved recipes and process guidelines, maintaining consistent quality and taste.
• Conduct routine production inspections to ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate a production team of 20-30 members per shift, ensuring discipline and efficiency.
• Provide training, guidance, and corrective feedback to enhance team performance.
• Supervise packing operations to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for packaging, labeling, and handling.
• Coordinate with packing teams for timely transfer of finished products to chillers or freezers and monitor storage conditions along with product traceability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and internal quality protocols.
• Maintain and report accurate production, wastage, manpower, and shift records to higher management.
• Promptly report any deviations, equipment faults, or quality issues to the Production Manager or Plant Head.
