Role Overview

The Senior Product Operations Manager for Global Payroll is pivotal in bridging product strategy, go-to-market execution, and day-to-day operations, impacting sales, support, and customers worldwide. This role primarily focuses on the EMEA region, offering autonomy and cross-functional collaboration without micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer feedback loop by gathering, distilling, and translating diverse feedback from sales and support teams into actionable insights for product managers, ensuring solutions align with market needs.
  • Clarify ambiguities by coordinating across teams, asking targeted questions, and delivering precise decisions and recommendations.
  • Manage operational tasks related to payroll, leveraging AI tools for automation while exercising sound judgment to intervene when exceptions arise.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the EMEA regional market, regulatory environment, and payroll complexities to inform product and executive leadership.
  • Exercise autonomy with clear decision-making authority, escalating only high-impact decisions while maintaining progress independently.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in product operations, customer success operations, or roles focused on converting feedback into product strategy.
  • Proven resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles without needing delegation; able to collaborate with multiple teams to resolve customer problems.
  • Comfortable making informed decisions with limited data, learning iteratively, and owning the outcomes.
  • Strong familiarity with product features and capabilities sufficient to address questions and troubleshoot edge cases effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis, including the use of SQL, spreadsheets, and analytics platforms to derive insights independently.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure, real-time operational demands while focusing on meaningful outcomes rather than mere activity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in payroll operations or finance operations within complex, client-facing environments.

Work Environment and Culture

You will operate with the autonomy of a founder, maintaining concentrated focus, navigating ambiguity expertly, and providing data-driven, clear communication. The role reports to a senior leader in the Global Payroll organization and collaborates closely with other operational leaders and product managers worldwide.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary ranges are presented as gross base salaries in USD, reflective of role, experience, skills, and location, with potential commission for commercial roles.
  • Localized offers will convert salary into local currency aligned with market standards.
  • Stock grant opportunities depending on role and location.
  • Additional benefits and perks vary based on employment status and country.
  • Flexible remote work with optional access to WeWork facilities.
