Position Overview

The Senior Product Manager for Reporting & Insights will lead the development of reliable and user-friendly reporting and analytics features to empower customers and internal users in understanding workforce, payroll, finance, and compliance data effectively. Collaboration across multiple teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success is essential, aiming to build scalable, accurate, and AI-enabled reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a comprehensive reporting and insights strategy spanning dashboards, in-app reports, scheduled deliveries, APIs, embedded partners, and AI-driven experiences.
  • Deeply understand diverse customer segments and their reporting workflows to prioritize product features accordingly.
  • Own the foundations of payroll-grade reporting including standard reports, configurable builders, exports, variance analysis, reconciliations, permissions, and audit capabilities.
  • Incorporate intelligent insights through AI, anomaly detection, and proactive recommendations ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are technically sound and commercially successful.
  • Monitor and enhance product impact through KPIs like adoption, trust, accuracy, usage, retention, and expansion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven senior-level product management experience focused on analytics, reporting, data platforms, or insights products.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Cursor and/or Claude Code, capable of independently building, debugging, and deploying code and prototypes.
  • Strong data literacy including knowledge of data models, schemas, lineage, joins, aggregations, and common data pitfalls.
  • Ability to write and interpret SQL queries for validating results and resolving data discrepancies in partnership with Data and Engineering teams.
  • Keen customer empathy with an understanding of key workflows in payroll, finance, and HR domains.
  • Skilled stakeholder management to align diverse teams and prioritize customer-centric features.
  • Excellent user experience insight emphasizing simplicity, trustworthiness, and usefulness in complex data workflows.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills enabling clear explanation of technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
  • Preferred: background in HR technology, payroll, finance, compliance, or B2B SaaS environments with familiarity of domain-specific challenges.

Additional Information

Reporting directly to a Senior Group Product Manager, the position is open globally with immediate start availability. The compensation range is $60,000 to $135,000 USD annually, with salary aligned to role level, location, skills, and experience.
