Position Overview
The Senior Product Manager leads with a clear and compelling vision for the product, being accountable for delivering on this strategy. This role requires a proactive and visible leader who solves problems hands-on and builds strong relationships across departments. The position demands deep institutional knowledge that covers all teams and functions, as well as an acute understanding of changes in the competitive market. The Senior Product Manager crafts and drives the product roadmap across web, mobile, and MCP platforms, gaining in-depth insights by directly engaging with users to map workflows and convert findings into product features. The role includes prioritizing features, managing the backlog, authoring user stories, and active participation in Agile development cycles. This is a hybrid role located in Toronto, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire an expert-level grasp of each client segment’s end-to-end workflow and incorporate this knowledge into product requirements, feature development, and prioritization to ensure the roadmap aligns with actual client usage.
- Advocate strongly for the customer’s voice throughout product initiatives by collecting and analyzing both quantitative data and qualitative insights on customer needs and pain points.
- Own and communicate the product vision and strategy clearly, aligning and rallying the organization behind it. Use market research, competitive analysis, customer feedback, and metrics to refine prioritization and development plans. Lead quarterly and annual planning processes with clear goals and performance tracking aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as the passionate product advocate both internally and externally. Manage product launches by creating training and documentation materials and delivering presentations and demos to stakeholders and customers.
- Drive the embedding of AI and large language model technologies within the product, identifying opportunities to enhance client workflows. Be hands-on in prototyping, evaluating AI models and vendors, creating prompts and agents, and delivering ethical, transparent AI-enabled features.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure prompt, high-quality delivery of product features. Actively engage in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews to foster continuous improvement.
- Define and maintain key product performance indicators. Implement processes to monitor, analyze, and apply data insights to inform development priorities and improve customer experience.
- Lead cross-functional teams effectively by coordinating among sales, marketing, legal, and support departments. Ensure alignment on priorities and incorporate feedback before and after development for ongoing enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience as an Agile Product Manager.
- Proven experience developing SaaS platforms including both web and mobile applications.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with influence across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and inspire product teams in dynamic environments.
- Advanced skills in problem-solving, strategic planning, and data-driven analysis.
- Track record of defining product visions and delivering scalable SaaS product strategies and roadmaps.
- Deep understanding of customer workflows, with the ability to transform insights into effective product features.
- Hands-on experience working with AI technologies, particularly large language models, including ethical application and human-in-the-loop design.
- Experience with OKR frameworks and Agile methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is CAD 140,000 to 160,000, with eligibility for an annual performance-based discretionary bonus.
