Job description
Overview
Diamond Glare is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist with expertise in commercial kitchen, hospitality, and central laundry equipment. This role is based in Jeddah with morning shift timings. The candidate will be responsible for managing purchases both locally and internationally, negotiating pricing and payment terms, and optimizing equipment sourcing and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee purchase processes for local and international equipment, scrutinize specifications, compare supplier offers, and successfully negotiate prices, payment terms, and warranty agreements.
- Establish and maintain reliable supplier networks and identify alternative equipment options that meet company standards.
- Conduct market and competitor pricing analyses to enhance equipment pricing strategies for improved competitive advantage.
- Calculate total landed costs and recommend selling prices and applicable discount thresholds to meet targeted profit margins, subject to company approval.
- Monitor shipment progress from supplier readiness to delivery at company warehouses, coordinating all documentation, customs clearance, inland transport, and scheduling; note that physical receipt and inspection are under the Warehouse Manager's responsibility.
- Maintain detailed procurement and pricing records and generate reports on cost savings, profitability, and supplier performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in procurement of commercial kitchen, hospitality, and central laundry equipment is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of equipment specifications, brands, manufacturers, and supplier market.
- Strong skills in negotiation, market evaluation, costing, and setting selling prices.
- Hands-on knowledge of international logistics, import regulations, and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in using Odoo software and Microsoft Excel for procurement management.
- Fluent English communication skills and ability to manage multiple orders with strict deadline adherence.
