Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the business to design, implement, and optimize pricing strategies that bolster Tower's growth, enhance profitability, and improve customer outcomes.
  • Create, update, and refine pricing models, rating algorithms, and automated data tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Track portfolio performance, analyze market trends and competitor actions, and transform these insights into actionable pricing recommendations.

Success Indicators within 6-12 Months

  • Delivered multiple pricing projects from start to finish with accurate implementation into rating and operational systems.
  • Gained recognition as the go-to expert for Tower's pricing models, rating algorithms, and pricing engine, providing valuable advice to the team.
  • Discovered and acted upon pricing opportunities that boosted portfolio performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Improved data automation in pricing and underwriting processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reporting across the business.
  • Established leadership by mentoring team members, conducting peer reviews, and upholding governance, documentation, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience in a structured general insurance pricing role.
  • Progress toward actuarial certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and programming capabilities; experience with R or Python is required, while knowledge of geospatial tools like ArcGIS or QGIS is a plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze insurance portfolios and translate data insights into successful commercial decisions, with a solid understanding of insurance performance measurements.
  • A self-driven team player who excels in communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizing work efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
