Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Develop a profound understanding of customer needs and stakeholder goals, acting as a guiding force for desired outcomes.
• Analyze and document current and future process states; challenge existing workflows and identify opportunities to utilize data, automation, and AI to enhance business and customer experiences.
• Provide mentorship to junior business analysts, supporting their growth and well-being, and contribute to enhancing the overall capability of the BA practice.
• Collaborate closely with business owners, delivery leads, and senior stakeholders to translate business strategies into actionable plans.
• Manage product backlogs, facilitate discovery and refinement sessions, and explore emerging technologies including AI for improving customer experience and business value.
• Influence project outcomes to maximize value and benefits; think innovatively beyond traditional requirements gathering to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and unlock value through tech advancements.
• Constantly pursue innovation by experimenting with AI to deliver impactful solutions benefiting customers and stakeholders.
• Use data insights to inform decision-making, understand customer behaviors, and leverage technology for new capabilities, assisting business leaders in understanding possibilities.

Success Measures

• Act as a trusted advisor delivering clear, concept-driven business analysis that shapes customer-centric solutions.
• Mentor and develop junior BAs and own business analysis deliverables, contributing to the maturity and reputation of the BA practice.
• Champion Agile methodologies, manage product backlogs, support squad performance and well-being, delivering value early using Agile and Lean principles.
• Translate strategic aims into actionable tasks, working alongside POs, PMs, designers, and stakeholders to dissect strategic objectives, map customer journeys, and convert insights into clear work items.
• Leverage data and technology for informed decisions and guide exploration of technological opportunities by business leaders.
• Lead effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration through workshops and ongoing alignment with BAs, engineers, and QA to improve delivery outcomes.
• Promote AI usage within Tower’s guidelines to enhance quality of BA outputs and contribute to realized benefits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrate a strong customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to accomplishing goals.
• Extensive experience in Information Technology, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Proven history of fostering innovation and influencing broad outcomes beyond isolated projects by identifying enhancements for customer experience, processes, and business performance.
• Effective collaboration skills with designers and technical teams to create practical solutions using tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Miro.
• Complete ownership of discovery, requirements gathering, and user story development, integrating customer experience, design, business goals, data insights, and technical solutions cohesively. Work closely with Engineering and QA teams in a triad collaboration model.
• Solid grounding in business analysis practices across both Agile and Waterfall frameworks, with enthusiasm for promoting best practices.
• Ability to decompose complex work, deliver early value, and approach challenges with curiosity and boldness.
• Commitment to embracing AI and active participation in Tower’s AI empowerment community.
