Senior Pricing Analyst

About the Role

Join the Commercial Insurance Long Tail Pricing team to shape pricing strategies that foster portfolio growth and profitability across Professional Lines, Financial Lines, Corporate Liability, and Surety insurance. This role involves analyzing both internal and external datasets, developing robust pricing models, and converting insights into actionable recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, and Technology to balance customer outcomes, risk adequacy, and commercial goals. Responsibilities include managing pricing reviews, portfolio tracking, governance tasks, and timely pricing adjustments. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance analytical capabilities, and fortify pricing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain pricing dashboards to track essential portfolio performance indicators.
• Conduct detailed data analyses to support rate reviews and evaluate premium adequacy.
• Formulate pricing proposals aligned with budgetary constraints, customer satisfaction, and portfolio targets.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure data pipelines are accurate and support risk modeling.
• Assist in model methodology validation, implementation of pricing changes, testing, and compliance monitoring.
• Prepare clear, concise pricing documentation and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in general insurance fields such as pricing, actuarial analysis, or portfolio management.
• Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical modeling capabilities to address complex business challenges.
• Proficient in tools like SAS, Excel, R or similar programming languages to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, pricing techniques, and regulatory frameworks.
• Understand budgeting, profit and loss dynamics, and commercial drivers within insurance portfolios.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively while managing multiple priorities and adapting to change.
